BIOGRAPHY
Obey The Sun emerged from Hungary’s heavy music underground in 2020, forging a sound that thrives in the desert heat between stoner rock, sludge, grunge, and groove metal.
The band’s music is built on massive riffs, thunderous rhythms, and raw, soulful vocals that channel both grit and atmosphere.
After honing their sound for several years, Obey The Sun released their debut EP, L.I.R.A., in May 2024 – a fierce introduction that showcased their blend of weight and melody.
The release was accompanied by a music video for “Land of the Dead,” capturing the band’s dark edge and growing their presence in the European metal scene.
Now, the band is gearing up for their next chapter with the forthcoming Desert Ritual EP, slated for release in 2025.
Expanding on the heavy grooves and desert-soaked tones of their debut, Desert Ritual promises a deeper, more immersive journey into Obey The Sun’s signature sound – a potent mix of grit, groove, and atmosphere that cements their place among the new generation of heavy rock.

Az Obey The Sun 2020-ban emelkedett ki Magyarország heavy underground zenei világából és olyan hangzást alkotott, amely a sivatagi hőségben virágzik, a stoner rock, sludge, grunge és a groove metal között.
A zenekar zenéje masszív riffekre, mennydörgő ritmusokra és nyers, lélekkel teli énekre épül, amelyek egyszerre sugároznak nyersességet és atmoszférát.
Miután évekig csiszolták hangzásukat, az Obey The Sun 2024 májusában adta ki debütáló EP-jét, a L.I.R.A.-t – egy vad bevezetőt, amely bemutatta a súly és a dallam keverékét.
A kiadványhoz egy „Land of the Dead” című videoklip is készült, amely megragadja a zenekar sötét oldalát és növeli jelenlétét az európai metal színtéren.
A zenekar most a következő fejezetre készül a hamarosan megjelenő Desert Ritual EP-vel, amely 2026-ban jelenik meg az ECLIPSE RECORDS (USA) gondozásában.
A debütáló albumuk nehéz groove-jaira és sivatagi hangulatára építve a Desert Ritual egy még mélyebb, magával ragadóbb utazást ígér az Obey The Sun jellegzetes hangzásvilágába – a nyersesség, a groove és az atmoszféra erőteljes keverékébe, amely megszilárdítja helyüket a grunge/heavy rock új generációjában.
